Story
The forest is where Shakuntala and her instructor, Rishi Kanva, make their home. Shakuntala is the daughter of Meneka and Rishi Vishwamitra.
She has a romantic encounter with King Dushyant, which leads to their subsequent marriage and the birth of their child. But as a result of a spell cast by a wise man, Dushyant is doomed to forget all about Shakuntala until fate brings them back together.
